  Emergency Protective Order (Texas)

These forms will let you file in court for a protective order for yourself or your child. They have been approved by the Supreme Court of Texas. You do not need a lawyer to file them. There are instructions for filing them at the beginning of each form. If you wish protection immediately, fill out each of the four forms. Take two copies with you to the courthouse. File them in the county that either you or the other person lives. If you have a current custody or divorce case, file them in the same county or the county where you live.
